Another NED...

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with JOY! Psalms 126:3

I cannot explain the "peace that passeth all understanding." But, I know what it feels like! Today, there have been times when I TRIED to make myself nervous. At those time a voice would rise in me as say "nope, I am not going to let you get nervous. There is NO point!" Bro. David asked us last week if God had ever spoken to us. my answer "ALL DAY!"

The wonderful people at Camp Smile-A-Mile offered us tickets to the circus tomorrow. We went last year and the kids loved it. They are very excited. Sawyer is on a commission from Mr. Phil to see if they will sell us a baby elephant to keep at our house! I think this is the only time in his life I am hoping he fails at his task!
We decided to stay in Birmingham tonight so that we will not be in a rush in the morning. The kids are having a great time at the "condo" (their name for a hotel.) We have already been swimming in the indoor pool! It was worth staying just so they could swim.

I hope that there comes a day in each one of your lives that allows you to understand the strength and power of God. It is something that none of us, not even those of us who experience the miracles of God like healing and salvation, can usnderstand the ways of God that is. But, I like to think that God chose us for this fight and in return, He gave us a little glimps of Agape Love!

So here are some pics of the kids at the "condo." Some are beautiful, even if I do say so myself!

Finally!

I found a moment...just a moment to upload some of our holiday pictures!
This is our most recent "hair" picture. As you can see, it is getting a little CRAZY! If you see us over the next few months please do not assume I have not combed her hair!
Ain't She Beautiful!

Here you have Carys and Sawyer Christmas morning with their new GUNS!

Sawyer was so excited just to open presents, he did not care what was in the packages!

A quick picture of the BOTH of them...better cherish this one!

Carys before the CRAZY hair stage. This "style" only lasted a week!

Her newests thing is ti dress herself. I thought I had a few more years before the battle of the clothes begun...Think Again!

Sawyer just being himself!

I thank the Lord each day for the blessings of my family!!!

Love This Life!!

I love life; it is no secret! Things for us have returned to "normal" (whatever that is) at least for a while.

One of my favorite things about life is the way God keeps it interesting! He keeps us forever moving from one place to the next. My new job has reminded me of that:)

I am sure most of you remember me asking for your prayers in reguards to our sleeping situation several months ago. I was reminded of that request when my dear friend Nikki C. wrote about her little "monster sleeper!" As I prayed for Logan, Nikki, and Brian I began PRAISING God for the answer to our prayer and the restful nights that we have enjoyed lately. That made me think about the conversation we had last night at bedtime.

We put the kids in bed and read a book. Last night, we read "What Does Love Look Like" It is about a class who is asked by their teacher to DRAW what love looks like. They all draw great pictures of Love but one girl draws a picture of three crosses on a hill. Carys and I discussed why she drew this. Many questions followed about why the people (Jews and Romans) could not understand WHY Jesus had come. We ended our conversation by quoting John 3:16 together.

Carys started..."For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotton Son. That whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have eternal life..."

Sawyer finished..."and liberty and United States for all..!!"

I guess he got the Bible and civics lessons confused!!!

Another reason why... I LOVE LIFE!

Long Overdue Update...

We are doing great! Busy as ever, but great. I have TONS of pictures to upload when I find the time! Here is the latest on us all...

Sawyer: Growing, growing, and growing! I cannot believe that he is almost THREE (March.) But, if you talk with him a little bit, you might think he is older. He takes life so serious at times but at others, he is a clown. I guess he has a little of both his Momma and Daddy in him :) We are still letting him go at his own pace for potty-training. That being VERY slow!

Carys: Hair, hair, and more hair! She had her first official "hair cut" last weekend. The last several days I have just stopped, looked at her, and it is so HARD to fathom where we were this time last year. The anniv. of her surgery was Jan 7th. Justin did not even want to talk about it at first. That day contained more emotions that my body has every felt. I believe it was the closest we ever came to loosing her. Words that I can barely write, but words that describe reality for so many of our friends. I PRAISE God everyday not just for curing Carys, but providing the strength, faith, hope and love we so desperately needed!

Me and Justin: Enjoying going down life's rode together. I am so thankful that I have him! I started a new position when school started back. I am working with the Gifted program here is Bibb County. I am so excited for this opportunity! It is a lot of work, and the kids challenge me to prepare meaningful lessons that challenge them. I am finishing up my coursework at UM and plan to start my masters work in the Fall! I can hardly believe I need more school, but I know it will be worth it in the end!

Busy, Busy, Busy! Just the way we like it :)

Oh, Lord...thank You for the blessing of salvation, that we might work to know you more and serve you more in 2009!!!
